Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College & Hospital was inaugurated on February 11, 2011. The first batch of 100 MBBS students was admitted in 2012 and successfully graduated in 2017, following which the college received recognition from the Medical Council of India (MCI). The student intake has since been increased to 125. Over the years, numerous students have excelled academically, securing top positions in examinations and earning honors in various subjects.

Postgraduate (PG) courses were introduced in seven disciplines in 2019, and the first batch of regular PG students graduated in July 2022. Many of them actively participated in state, regional, and national conferences, with several winning prestigious awards. At present, nine departments offer full-fledged postgraduate programs.

The institute has also been offering paramedical diploma courses since 2013.

A central library was envisioned at the inception of the college and has since grown into a well-equipped facility with modern amenities and a collection of nearly 12,000 books. The continuous procurement of new editions of books and journals ensures that students and faculty have access to the latest medical knowledge.

Beyond academics, students actively engage in co-curricular activities, including sports, cultural events, and socio-literary programs, showcasing their diverse talents.
