The Department of Pharmacology was established in the year 2011 since the inception of the college and is dedicated to advancing education, research and innovation in therapeutic science. The department focusses on training future healthcare professionals and researchers, fostering a thorough understanding of Pharmacokinetics, Pharmacodynamics, toxicology and clinical applications of drugs.

Academic Activities

1.Undergraduate Training

  • Conducts lectures, practicals and case-based learning sessions.
  • Offers hands on experience in simulation-based drug activities.
  • Organizes symposium and workshops on pharmacovigilance.
  • Conducts lectures for paramedical students (ICU technician, DMLT) in emergency medicine.

2. Research Initiatives

  • Active participation in research projects by the faculties.
  • Encourages student led research under faculty mentorship.
  • Publishes findings in peer-reviewed journals. (national/international)

3. Skill Development

  • Conducts training programs on prescription writing, rational drug use and adverse drug monitoring.
  • Integrates Information & Communication Technology tools for modern pharmacological teaching.

  • The Department ensures efficient coordination through periodic meetings and task distribution among faculty & staff.
  • Maintains a well-equipped laboratory and library for academic and research purposes.
  • Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration with other departments to enhance research and innovation.
