The Department of Psychiatry, FAAMCH, caters to a large population of lower Assam. It provides treatment for adults and children with psychiatric disorders with one to one consultations, therapy, counselling, disability certification and IQ assessments. It has an array of services of OPD, indoor ward admission, various therapies, ECT, Biofeedback provided dedicatedly by Psychiatrists, Clinical Psychologists and Psychiatric Social worker. It has designated Adolescent clinic and Geriatric clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays with 24*7 emergency services.

Vision-

To promote awareness of Psychiatric disorders amongst the rural population and provide focussed treatment with holistic approach for each patient.
